An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was carried out prior to proposed development. A total of 6 trial trenches were excavated, each measuring 20m by 1.8m, providing a 2% sample of the total development area of 1ha. Trenches were placed to investigate features identified on aerial photographs and through geophysical survey, as well as in blank areas. Post medieval features were identified and a small number of earlier finds were recovered. {1}{2}
