Full Description
Cropmarks of a possible dispersed barrow cemetery photographed between 1957 and 1991. At least 6 ring ditches have been identified, including multiple-ringed, double-ringed, and single rings (with possible pits inside). {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}{7}{9}{11}
The double-ringed circle was visible from the ground as a distinct soilmark of small limestone chips during ploughing in 1958 - the outer circle had a diameter of 77-82ft, the inner 37ft. Flint waste was collected from this part of the field. {1}{2}{3}{8}
A sherd of apparently Middle Bronze Age pottery was found at TF0435 5216 by T. Hayes in 1958 (see also MLI61816). {1}{4}{8}{13}
