Full Description
There are many cropmark features in this area, including some which may be part of a medieval field system, and others from later field boundaries. To the south of these is a complex of enclosures and double ditched linear features, all at a different orientation to the modern road and field boundaries. {1}{2}
Considerably more extensive cropmarks were identified during analysis of aerial photographs in 2010. The features recorded included a large number of ditches, field boundaries, trackways and linear features, along with a number of enclosures and possible pit features. Whilst the dating is unconfirmed, the features were thought likely to date to the Iron Age or Roman periods. {3}
