Full Description

Cornhills Farm, Broxholme. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of E plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {1} A study of the history and development of Cornhills Farm was included in the programme of historic building recording, conducted in December 2003, prior to the proposed conversion and redevelopment of some of the former farm buildings. {2} Further historical study of Cornhills Farm was conducted in December 2014, prior to the proposed conversion to residential use of some of the barn structures. {3}{4}
