Full Description

A windmill is shown on the 1st edition 1 inch Ordnance Survey map of 1824 and Greenwood's County Map of 1830, on the north fringe of Bardney village, in a location which probably puts it within the settlement remains of Bardney. It had gone by 1842. {1}{2} The 6 inch Ordnance Survey map of 1956 has a mill marked at TF 1192 6955, however, possibly indicating a later mill on the earlier site? {3}
