PRN 51185 A POST MILL IS SHOWN ON MAPS OF 1757, 1824, 1842, 1886, AND ITS EMPTY MOUND IS MARKED ON THE 1906 OS 25' 2nd Edn MAP. THE FIELD NAME TO ITS SOUTH WAS 'MILL CLOSE' IN 1842 AND THE MODERN BY-ROAD IS 'MILL LANE'. BY THE LATE C19 THERE WAS A MILL HOUSE ADJACENT, NOW ALSO LEVELLED. {1}
