Full Description

Rectory Farm, Marton. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {1} A study of the history and development of Rectory Farm was included in the programme of historic building recording, conducted in April 2013, prior to the proposed demolition of the former farm buildings. The farm's name changed to Poplar Farm at some point in the second half of the 20th century. {2}{3}
