Full Description
During work in advance of the Grange Farm gravel quarry extension 174 sherds of pottery were recovered. 18 of these were of medieval local ware, 1 medieval tile fragment and 3 medieval (possibly Roman), 29 later fragments of tile. 43 glass and clay pipe fragments dating to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. There was also an earlier medieval ceramic disc. {1}{2}
