Full Description
Possible late medieval earthwork field system to the east of Gunby deserted medieval village, identified on aerial photography by the National Mapping Programme. {1}
Remains of the medieval ridge and furrow in this area were noted in 1986, during the archaeological assessment of the National Trust's Gunby Hall estate. The remains were recorded as a series of parallel linear earthworks roughly 3-4m wide and 0.5-0.7m high. {2}
