Full Description

Holy Trinity Church, Raithby was almost entirely rebuilt in 1873 but retains Transitional and Decorated (about 1290AD to about 1350AD) features. There may also be traces of a two bay Norman (1066AD to 1200AD) arcade. {1}{2} A parish church dating from the 12th century which has features that have been reused from a 14th century building. The church was partly rebuilt in 1873 by Sir G. G. Scott, the chancel was enlarged by Temple Moore in 1886 and the tower was renewed by Hodgson Fowler in 1895. It was constructed of squared greenstone rubble with limestone ashlar dressings and has ashlar and lead roofs.
