Full Description
Part of a Saxon cross shaft not in situ with interlacing strapwork now preserved in North Thoresby Church. {1}{2}{3}
This stone is now known to be part of late Anglo-Saxon grave cover of the Lindsey type dating to the late tenth or early eleventh century. The grave slab perhaps covered the grave of the original Anglo-Saxon founder of the church.{4}
