Full Description

PRN 41158 St Martin's church was built in the Decorated period (c.1290-1350) although it was largely rebuilt in 1850 and only the tower remains of the original structure. {1}{2}{3} A watching brief at the church revealed eleven burials and six sherds of 10th-11th century pottery. Two pieces of 11th-12th century stonework were also recovered. {4}{5} A parish church which contains 14th and 15th century features which was rebuilt in 1849 by S. S. Teulon.
