Description

Following an earlier scheme of geophysical survey (ELI14520), a trial trenching excavation was undertaken in September 2012 at Land at Chesham Drive, Baston, in advance of proposed residential development. The evaluation confirmed the findings of the geophysical survey, with several boundary ditches found to be of Roman, Late Saxon, and medieval date. No dating evidence was recorded for the ring ditch. {1}{2}
