Full Description
A mound at this grid reference was identified as of medieval date by the National Mapping Programme. {1}
This mound is recorded as a possible round barrow in the records of Heritage Lincolnshire. {2}
This mound may be the same as that reported by an Osgodby resident (34782).
The site was visited in 2011. The mound is quite a substantial grassed mound with a large tree growing out of it. It is more likely to be a windmill mound than a burial mound. Although, having looked at various maps for the immediate area at the Lincolnshire Archives, including the Tithe Award map of 1840, there is no indication of a mill being present. {3}
