Full Description
East & West Laughton occur in Domesday Book. There were 17 families during the time of Elizabeth I. By about 1825 there were 11. Slight traces are visible on aerial photographs at West Laughton. Nothing is to be seen at Laughton. Earthworks constituting desertion are visible south of the stream at TF 0751 3124. {1}
Traces of earthworks including faint traces of platforms were seen at TF 081 316. {8}
