Full Description

CROPMARKS OF A LARGE, IRREGULAR OVAL ENCLOSURE VISIBLE ON STEVE FOARD APs OF 1986. APPEARS TO BE UNDERLAIN BY A MULTIPLE LINEAR DITCH (PRN 34098) AND TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH FIELD SYSTEM (PRN 33465). PITS AND POSSIBLY OTHER INTERNAL FEATURES ARE VISIBLE. {1}{2} THE MAIN ENCLOSURE DITCH WAS IDENTIFIED DURING AN EVALUATION. A SECOND DITCH WAS ALSO IDENTIFIED CONVERGING WITH THE MAIN ENCLOSURE DITCH. BOTH DITCHES CONTAINED SHELL-TEMPERED IRON AGE POTTERY DATING TO THE FIRST TO SECOND CENTURY BC. {3}{4}
