Full Description

In March 1965, a large quantity of Stamford ware, the rim of a Thetford ware type storage jar and a small amount of shelly ware were found. Other medieval wares including Bourne D, also mica schist hone. Field known as Town Field - formerly an uneven grass field, first ploughed in early 1960s after much rubbish dumped in existing ditches. {1}{2}{3}{4} This may also be an 18th century brick making site (see MLI22466).
