Full Description

A brass sword, 'which seems to be Roman', was found in the Seadyke Bank between Fleet and Gedney, some time before 1724. The sea bank in the area of Fleet and Gedney runs north of both towns, approximately from TF393261 to TF415262.{1}{2} S J Hallam feels that it is unlikely to be Bronze Age. {5} Davey includes this find but it is dubious.
