Full Description

SPARSE SCATTER OF POTTERY OVER PATCH 'b'. IT INCLUDES A FEW C2 SHERDS, SOME PROBABLY EARLY, WITH THE BULK OF THE POTTERY BEING C3 AND C4. {1} DURING A WATCHING BRIEF ON THE MOULTON TO WHAPLODE WATERMAINS, SEVERAL DITCHES WERE IDENTIFIED. FROM THESE DITCHES POTTERY AND CATTLE, SHEEP/GOAT BONES WERE RECOVERED. THE POTTERY TYPES INCLUDED NENE VALLEY WARE, GREY WARE, CENTRAL GAULISH SAMIAN WARE, OXIDISED AND COARSE SHELL WARE.
