Summary

UNDATED CROPMARKS

Type and Period (2)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

UNDATED CROPMARKS ARE VISIBLE ON APS. IT IS NOT CLEAR WHETHER THESE ARE RB CROPMARKS OR ASSOCIATED WITH THE SAXON SETTLEMENT IN THE AREA. THERE HAVE BEEN NO ROMAN FINDS IN THE AREA. {1} In the northern part of this area in the field closest to the road there are a number of sinuous linear cropmarks that are probably old water courses, perhaps related to the adjacent enclosures. {3}
