A DATE FOR THE FOUNDATION OF QUADRING EAUDIKE IS UNKNOWN, BUT LATE SAXON SHERDS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN THE AREA. ITS LONG SINCE DEMOLISHED CHAPEL INDICATES THAT THE HAMLET CONTINUED AS A FOCUS OF THE SETTLEMENT INTO THE MIDDLE AGES. {1}
