The middle granary, on South Square was built soon after 1810, south of Gysor's Granary. It is large and irregularly shaped. It essentially consists of two halves, divided by an internal carriageway from east to west end. It was built at the peak of Boston's prosperity. During the 19th century it was used for other warehouse purposes, and in 1950's as Dired Pea Packing factory. It was disused in the 1960's to 1990's. The roof started to collapse in 1990's, but then restored as flats, which was completed in 1997. {1} Red brick three storey warehouse with slate roof, now derelict.
