Full Description

During a magnetometry survey on land to the south of Grantham undertaken in 2013, a small group of possible features was identified, including three sides of a possible sub-rectangular enclosure, a boundary ditch and two discrete pit-like features. Both the enclosure and the boundary ditch appeared to continue beyond the surveyed area. {1}{2} An undated pit and ditch were revealed during trial trenching in this area in June-July 2013. No finds were recovered from the fills of the pit, but the ditch fills yielded an iron timber-dog of possible Roman date. {3}{4}
