Full Description
A limestone quarry, measuring 4.1m wide and 1.3m deep, discovered on land at Canwick Hill during trial trenching in May 2014. Pottery of 2nd-3rd century AD date was recovered from the quarry backfill. The extracted limestone was likely used in the construction of the nearby settlement (MLI127886). {1}{2}
