Full Description

A series of undated pits and ditches, as well as a possible penannular ditch feature, were encountered on land at Temple Hill, Hough-on-the-Hill during a geophysical survey in February-April 2013. At least two discrete pit concentrations can be seen in close proximity to the possible penannular ditch. {1} Subsequent trial trenching in June-July 2013 encountered a further two undated ditches, an undated pit and posthole, and a possible field boundary from which a small abraded sherd of (likely residual) Middle Bronze Age pottery was recovered. {2}{3}
