Full Description

Roman features comprising two pits and a gully were identified on land at Bourne Grammar School, Bourne during during a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording of groundworks for a new teaching block. The east-west oriented gully produced a moderate amount of animal bone and a small assemblage of Roman pottery. All three features were sealed by a Medieval or post-Medieval ploughsoil (see MLI127057). {1}{2}
