Full Description

The churchyard at the Church of St Mary is depicted on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map. It is thought to date to at least the 14th century, when the church it serves was built. Documentary sources from the 17th century and later make reference to a medieval church existing at West Torrington in the early 12th century, however, and the churchyard may therefore have earlier origins (see MLI93215). {1}
