Full Description

Whilst not included in the detailed programme of historic buildings recording of the former farm buildings to the east (see MLI126201), the detached outbuildings at Highfield (formerly Glebe) Farm was briefly described in January 2021. The structure appears to be of early 19th century date. The outbuildings are built in a single north-south aligned range of brick with a pantile pitched gable roof; the north end of the range has a higher roof with a steeper pitch. Possibly used both for sheltering animals and as a boiling house or wash house. A boiler and washing copper still survive in-situ in the centre of the range. The roof above the boiler and copper has collapsed. {1}{2}
