Full Description

This former agricultural building was the subject of a detailed programme of historic building recording, conducted in May 2019, in advance of its proposed conversion to residential use. The building is thought to date to the early 18th century, and functioned as a former threshing barn, with a granary space to the upper loft floor (although this is no longer extant). Built of roughly coursed local limestone, the structure features a hipped pantile roof, and has large opposing double doors in the main elevations, allowing carts to pass through. The building has been subject to some alterations in the 20th century, including the insertion of an internal timber framed partition, creating two small rooms at the eastern end. {1}{2}
