Full Description

During a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording at Croft House, Low Road, Grayingham, two large pits were revealed in the footings for a new house. The southern pit contained equine and sheep/goat bone fragments were identified and was overlaid by a deposit containing four sherds of pottery from the mid-late Saxon period. The western pit contained no dating evidence. A shallow ditch was also identified in this area, and also contained no dating evidence. {1}{2}
