Full Description

A single prehistoric flint flake was found in this location in the winter of 1990-1. The flint was noted during a programme of archaeological field walking, conducted to inform the proposed dualling of the A46 road between Newark and Lincoln. The flake had a shattered platform, the result of being struck from a multi-platform core, and showed possible use marks on the distal end. {1}
