Full Description

The churchyard at the Church of St Genewys is depicted on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map. It likely dates to at least the 12th century, when the church it serves has its origins (see MLI51279). {1} A graveyard soil of likely medieval date was recorded in May 2014, during the monitoring of repair works to the eastern boundary wall at the Church of St Genewys. Two fragments of disarticulated human bone were recovered from the graveyard deposit. {2}{3}
