Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Archaeological Project Services in March 2009, during drainage works in the graveyard of St Germain's Church, Thurlby near Lincoln. The works entailed the excavation of two soakaways and a pipe trench running between the church tower and the western edge of the site. Discoveries from the site included two large ditches containing early to mid Anglo-Saxon pottery. {1}{2}
