Description

An archaeological excavation was carried out by Archaeological Project Services between October 2007 and May 2008, in advance of a proposed residential deveopment on land off School Lane, Old Leake, Lincolnshire. The excavation recorded alluvial deposits of probable Romano-British date, features associated with possible Saxo-Norman occupation, and sporadic evidence of Medieval and post-Medieval activity. {1}{2}
