Description

An archaeological trial trench evaluation, in conjunction with a programme of observation and recording, was carried by Lindsey Archaeological Services in October 2008, in advance of a proposed extension to Brauncewell Quarry, Lincolnshire. Fieldwork took place in an area southwest of previous excavations at the quarry, with trial trenching at four locations and a programme of strip, map and record over a larger (172 x 43m) area (Area 5).
