Description

During the digging of a pipeline trench, various archaeological features (mostly pottery) were noted. The first part of a hoard of Roman coins may also have been uncovered. A general surface scatter of Romano-British, Saxon and medieval pottery was noted along the length of the pipeline. [Note: the route of this pipeline is not known and therefore the line shown on mapinfo is approximate.] {1}
