Description

A systematic fieldwalking survey was undertaken on a parcel of land to the west of Holywell Hall gardens. The fieldwalking was undertaken following the discovery of Romano-British pottery and iron tap slag at Holywell in March 2001. A 20m by 20m grid was established, and the walkers traversed lanes aiming for 100% surface cover {1}
