A single 3m by 1.5m evaluation trench was excavated in advance of a proposed single storey extension to an extisting building. As the site lay within a scheduled area, archaeological evaluation was requested by the DCMS (English Heritage) Inspector of Ancient Monuments as a condition of Scheduled Monument Consent.
