An archaeological evaluation trench on land at 2 Cromwell View, Caistor, identified the remains of a post medieval cottage floor, floor repairs, make-up layers and demolition material. The floor was constructed of handmade brick with mortar bonding and was aligned north west to south east. The features probably represent the remains of a row of cottages, recorded as still standing on a map of 1959. {1}{2}
