A site visit was undertaken to assess the impact of the proposed development on land at Mapleton Farm, Moor Lane, Horsington. Earthwork remains of possible medieval hollow ways were noted to the west of the current farmhouse and along the application site's western hedge boundary. A scatter of medieval roof tile was noted to the immediate south-east of the farmstead, and two sherds of medieval pottery were retrieved from the topsoil at the eastern end of the application area. {1}{2}
