Description

Trial trenching was carried out prior to proposed development, for geotechnical purposes and in order to assess the nature of any archaeological resource, the impact of any development and the requirement for further archaeological works. Five trenches were placed to be mutually beneficial to both geotechnical and archaeological investigations. Each trench was circa 2m in length by circa 0.75m in width.{1}
