A series of eight trial trenches were excavated on ajoining plots of land measuring approximatley 2.0ha and 0.6 ha in August 2001 prior to proposed residential development. A complex of Romano-British ditches, gullies, pits, and kiln furniture was recorded in the west of the site with no evidence for settlement, with ridge and furrow identified throughout. {1}{2}
