An evaluation, consisting of trial trenching, was undertaken on approximately 6.7ha of land to assess the significance of the site, the impact of development, and the necessity for further work. Sixteen trenches were excavated, placed to investigate anomalies identified by a previous geophysical survey and blank areas. Trench 1 measured 10.5m by 4.1m; Trench 2 measured 10.5m by 3.5m; Trench 3 measured 31.1m by 1.6m; Trench 4 measured 30m by 1.6m; Trench 5 measured 20.7m by 1.5m; Trench 6 measured 15.7m by 1.6m; Trenches 7, 8 and 9 measured 15m by 1.6m; and Trench 10 measured 15m by 1.5m.{1}
