Description

A watching brief was carried out during test pitting and sinking of boreholes along the route of the proposed Northern Bypass. Originally twelve test pits and four boreholes were to be excavated, but due to problems of access and ground conditions at the time, only six test pits were excavated and only four boreholes examined.{1}
