Description

An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken prior to development of seven residential properties, with associated access, garages and services. Four trenches measuring 10m by approximately 2m were located to evaluate the area of the site most likely to be affected by the proposed development. Difficulties were encountered during excavation, due to the exceptionally high water table, caused by flood conditions which affected most of the country in the autumn and winter of 2000.{1}
