Description
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted on the foundations for new shops and apartments on land at Star Lane, Stamford. A sequence of Late Saxon, post-Medieval and modern dumped deposits was identified. A layer of slag encountered during prior trial trenching (see ELI4379) was also identified. {1}{2}
