A geophysical survey was conducted on land at Stamford West to inform a proposed development. Approximately 25% of the area was surveyed, with three discrete blocks targeting known cropmark features with four further blocks testing apparently blank areas. Survey of the southeastern cropmark returned a weak curvilinear response suggesting a possible geological origin, though the other two returned stronger signals, including a probable rectilinear enclosure with an internal ring ditch and indications of at least one field boundary on the same alignment. The four 'blank' blocks identified several linear features, including the possible continuation of a cropmark ditch in the centre of the site. {1}
