Two trial trenches were excavated in July and August 2018 as part of pre-planning for a small residential development, following a scheme of geophysical survey (ELI14320). While limited dating evidence was recorded, the excavations suggest a possible Bronze Age or Iron Age pit, and a series of undated enclosures, ditches, and postholes. The remains identified did not show up well in the geophysical survey results. No traces of the ridge and furrow remains to the immediate west associated with medieval South Kelsey (MLI53508) were recorded. {1}{2}{3}
