Description

A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for a new residential development on land at Well Vale Drive, Chapel St Leonards. A possible Iron Age or Roman saltern mound was recorded, along with a number of redeposited silts possibly formed as a result of salt making practices. {1}{2}
