Description

A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for residential development on land at Sandy Nook, Well Street, Bishop Norton. Three pits were identified; these were attributed to small scale domestic activity in the area. One pit produced several sherds of shell-tempered medieval pottery. {1}{2}
